I had a good visit with Ian and Bill at PDAC on monday, here is some feedback I got.
1. On the status of the Bulk Sample?
Bill commented that they are strill extracting the bulk sample and had considered taking a smaller sample to make the late March date they set as a target. But given the recent Revision noise, they are considering taking a larger bulk sample and pushing the date out a bit, basically to put all the revision uneasiness to bed.
2. Also asked Ian what Goldcorp is up to over the F2 border?
Below is an image of the property line, the top arrow shows where, according to Ian Goldcorp started drilling last week. The bottom arrow shows where they started drilling ‘recently’. Ian noted that Rubicon has a cooperative but competitive relationship with goldcorp staff, in fact Goldcorp staff sometimes use Rubicon’s roads to access their site. When Goldcorp started drilling last week, Ian went out with them and basically agreed they were drilling in the right spot. Ian then made the off comment that he appreciated Goldcorp allowing them to look at all their core samples they bring up. Goldcorp staff looked perpelexed, then Ian noted that the drill was in the right place but Goldcorp’s guys were stacking the core samples over the fence on Rubicon property. Quickly remedied.
3. Permitting status?
Bill mentioned this was moving along quite well and on schedule.
4. WRT the Revision noise?
They speculated that they might end up making a minor cut to the resource but it should be minor if any. They also hoped to here back within a week, but that is up to BCSC.
5. Also asked if the newer results would get include anytime soon, Bill didn’t expect it since they need to keep the resource filing as is due to the BCSC review.
I still consider this a winner.
