Will We See Food Riots?
The article below gives some insight on other countries impact by the drought. Of particular note is Russia but also Europe. It also notes that several countries seem to have started stockpiling to try and avoid a repeat of 2008. They could have the opposite effect and lead to more food riots. The time to prepare for such things was 6-12 months ago not now, smart countries would have started stockpiling back in May, even thought the full impact of the drought wasn’t clear just in case.
The biggest concern would be what is truly happening in China, some references in this article but would like to know more…
