Gold It was a very impressive day for gold, closing at yet a new all time high of $1563 up $32.20 on the day. The Dec 2016 contract finished at $1808.10 up a similar magnitude of $26.60. So, did you hear the one about the 84 securities flash crash on Monday, Apr. 25th on the NASDAQ? Seems NASDAQ “experienced an issue” and 84 securities crashed. Gold and Silver had very different paths today. Silver Silver seems to have had a bit of a blow off top and may have some more downside as per this chart from Dan Norcini, see here. It would seem the effect of yesterday’s CRIMEX margin adjustments up 9% and option expiry day took their toll. [...]

Gold and silver are certainly getting beaten up today, gold’s currently around $1498 and Silver is hovering just about $45. Remember that tomorrow is option expiry day and is usually very volatile.
